Rae Anna Hample
SITE Coordinator

Rae Anna is an artist, puppeteer, and educator. She received a BA in Studio Art from Bard College, in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY in 2014. She has toured puppet shows across the US under the name RAE RED and is part of the Hag Society, an arts collective based out of Brooklyn, NY. She is fascinated with the way in which death is addressed in our culture and her work often uses skeletons and death imagery. She is passionate about singing and incorporates traditional ballads of sorrow and romance into her performances. She loves living in Marfa and is grateful for the opportunity to engage with the community through the MSA SITES program. Marfa kids are incredible!

She is an artist and has been living and working in Marfa TX since 2012. She is also a docent with both the Chinati Foundation and the Judd Foundation. Christine Olejniczak
Teaching Artist
Christine Olejniczak received her BFA from UT-Austin and MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has resided in Marfa, Texas since 2001. Olejniczak started recording the sound of herself drawing and composing with that sound while attending graduate school. Her first instruments were made in 1995 and she has been performing and collaborating with artists and musicians ever since. The scores for her music come from the lines formed by drawing a patch of grass, writing letters to friends, tracing drawings from Art history books and drawing for the sheer pleasure of the sound of mark making. She continues to study the drawn landscape and is currently working on a series of video shorts that will include a soundtrack of new compositions and spoken word.
